Josef Hoffmann heeft deze stoel in de jaren 20 ontworpen voor Thonet.
Deze stoel was zowel in de jaren ’30 als in de jaren 60 erg populair (onder anderen onder architecten), en is ook nu weer erg gewild.
Deze stoel is in de jaren ’60 na W.O. II genationaliseerde Thonet-fabriek in het toenmalige Tsjechoslowakije).
De stoel heeft een geweven rotan webbing in gode staat.
